Just did a manual update to 2.1.5 from a manual 2.1.4. Seems to be identical to 2.1.4 so works really well. Much, much more stable than 2.0.0 .

When mine re-booted after the update to 2.1.5 it displayed a page of "Release Notes".

Unfortunately, they were release notes for 2.1.4 - Oops...

As murg said, Kobo do not tend to put out release notes for firmware versions that are purely for bug fixes. 2.1.5 is just 2.1.4 plus a fix for reading epubs from SD cards. I think this is a mistake, but it is better than with 2.0.0 where they didn't change the release number for the fixed version.

My update process (Wi-Fi, 2.0.0 -> 2.1.5) was a bit rocky - had to download and install the update twice. I got the welcome tour after updating, which made me worry that I'd gotten a factory reset as part of the update!

I will say, the new welcome tour looks good

Yes it is a mistake. There really ought to be a log entry/note whenever the version number changes (and not changing the release number at all is unforgivable).

At least they changed the version number. Kobo has done re-releases without changing the version numbers in the past.

Mine as well - it updated over wifi to 2.1.5 r43939, but the release notes still say 2.1.4.

Have you tried syncing via the Kobo Desktop application? Syncing via Wifi directly from the reader didn't work for me, while half a minute later the desktop gave me the new firmware no problem...

It's still a staggered roll-out. I only got updated last night, and the 2.1.5 stuff started a couple of days ago. I'd counsel patience (although I know how difficult that can be sometimes.)
