I'm thinking for cases to go with the Kobo Mini, I will probably do like I did for my Sony PRS-350. Case Logic made a cd wallet that fits the reader fine. I believe it has 16 cd inserts. Anyway, I remember paying $4.99 for the case, Best Buy had them in red, blue and black. I gutted it except for a couple of inserts in the back to provide cushioning. Granted the depth was much more than I needed, but I made use of the extra space. I place my 350 in, then a piece of microfiber cloth, on top of that I place another insert that had been removed. I still have plenty of room, so I pack in my iPod Nano ( the square one), headphones and the USB cord for the reader. It all fits fine and I can grab the case and head for the gym.

We also modified journals and day planners to make cases for the 350. I'm also wondering if some of the hard drive cases would fit. Cases were very limited, so creativity was a must.

Can't wait to see if the neoprene sleeve fits, it should. I almost ordered two of them myself.

No, beautifulsoup, it's not wrong. New toys are always fun!

Mycurlylocks,
Yes, I could see that there was not much out there and then inspiration struck and I started looking at 5 " GPS cases... Bingo! A lot of choice in the 5 inch size but I wasn't willing to pay more than $5 for a sleeve. I want to get a real cover for it if Kobo eventually comes out with one or if properly fitting ones become available through a third party reseller. I saw Sony prs350 covers at Best Buy the other day ($14. 99) and I would have gotten one had they fit but they were a little too narrow and had that male/female connection thingie along the spine to attach the reader rather than elastics at the corners. But my! They sure looked good for $15! Hope something similar comes along for the Mini...

My plan for a case/stand is to buy a spare back, and attach a thin piece of stiff plastic to it, to flip over the front to protect the screen, or open backwards to act as an easel.

I'm not sure how well that would work because of the way the back snaps in. It's slightly smaller than the Mini itself and has a couple of protruding plastic clips that go into holes in the back of the Mini's casing. The snap backs are constructed exactly the same as the black or silver originals. Plus they're $20, not cheap!
Amazon.com has a lot more choice in GPS cases than the ÇA site (and cheaper) but they don't let me purchase as am not in US or I would have gotten this one below, which is rigid and comes in 8 colours... For $12!

I've already ordered the Tuff-Luv case, and I hope it arrives on next week. I'll try to make some photos.

Cdesja5, the same cases are on ebay.ca. Some of the GPS units are more narrow than the reader. I just found the measurement in one description, they don't fit.

I got excited when I saw these, I was going to look on ebay.com. Unfortunately, they're too narrow.

Wow! At $3.99 that would have been quite the find!!! Looks awesome for the price! It's only .2" too narrow...are you sure it wouldn't still work?

Here's the photo for those that are curious:
http://www.egoo.us/ebay/BW/MP5%20Bag/2-1.jpg

It took me forever to find the one I bought which since it is stretchy, should work.
Model below, the "rooCASE Super Bubble Neoprene (Dark Blue / Black) Sleeve Case for Navigon 8410 5-inch GPS Navigator" was more of a sure thing being 6" X 4.5" X .8" but I didn't like the colour choices :
BTW, the exact size of the Mini is 4 X 5.2 X .4 (in inches) or 102 x 133 x 10 (in mm)

There's no image on the Tuff-Luv listing for the cases...did you actually see a pic for it somewhere? I'm wondering what it looks like? Who knows, your picture post may show up here before they update their site!

I think I'm going to buy one of the leather flip cases from ebay.com.

Just found this listing The sides of the frame are elastic. Not much money lost if it doesn't work.

:
I ordered one too before you posted this... I'll be out $7 too if I don't like it.

Kobo Mini has a bit similar screen specs to Cybook Opus but for wifi and touch. I'm just having a severe case of gadgetitis these days...pity you can read from only one at a time, sigh
