So maybe they've just made the option easier to get to on the PW?

I am not sure but it was not a feature on the Touch with the original firmware.

Yes, it is in the bottom left hand corner, but it is only either or, not both.

Easier to get to Cloud list, and addition of Recent sort there (compared with Kindle Touch).

That's been available on my iPad, but not the older generation of Kindles. I'm glad they have that on the PW. I find that one of the must haves.

The recent update for the Kindle Keyboard included this.

This is a step-up for me. It will be replacing my Nook Color and Kindle Fire for reading when I require light. It is mostly for reading in the bedroom, and for me, it really shines here.

The contrast to me is good
The light is very good - no longer do I have to worry about clipons
It has very good font selection
The dictionary lookup is also better than what I am used to

One thing that I would like to see (never thought I would say this) are page turn buttons. I like having the option. Sometimes I feel like swiping and others I feel like pushing.

A great reader nonetheless!

The first day I was wierded out by the streaking when the light is on high. I found that if I turn the light to where I barely see it, it works so nice for all lighting conditions. It does not bother me a week later. I'm keeping it. I love that I can read in bed with the room light off. Takes me back to a time when I read under the covers with a flashlight. I am VERY happy with my new Paperwhite.
