It's interesting that the new lineup is out now. The Kindle Touch is gone now, replaced by the Kindle PaperWhite. But the Kindle Keyboard is still there. So, obviously there is still a demand for it.

I still prefer my Keyboard model over the others.

That extra inch at the bottom turns out to be great for me. I've tried both the k4 and touch and they're less comfortable for me to hold, even though they are lighter. To the OP: The k3 has TTS and twice the on board memory (and more than twice available memory). So yeah, it's not bad at all. |

I read some place (can't remember where as I have visited so many places) that Amazon is keeping the Kindle Keyboard around because of accessibility issues. None of the new e-ink Kindles have audio capabilities. So they are keeping the Kindle Keyboard around for people who have vision problems.
Edit: I saw it at Engadget Last edited by ucfgrad93; 09-06-2012 at 11:24 PM. |

+1 For Kindle Keyboard.
![]() Love it for accessibility mostly, but I also totally agree about the benefit of that extra space at the bottom... let's me sink it into a beanie-pillow thing and still see the whole screen. ![]() to Amazon for keeping it going for us. |
