updated...it doesnt charge, managed to read one page. got back in touch with Kobo. They are giving me a replacement. Have to send it to the netherlands. Going to be without it over a week.

Posted. I was told yesterday that Kobo have a lifetime warranty even better.

It's altogether possible that laws in your jurisdiction impact warranty terms, or that a Kobo rep misspoke, but Kobo devices come with a one year warranty in Canada--two years if you purchase the extra insurance from Kobo that covers accidental breakage.

in the email i got off Kobo, it most definitely said lifetime
