Did you enable the loading of un-signed drivers in your Win7 and then follow that with a re-boot?

Nope not yet.... I am still stuck in the driver part. Windows 7 is so aggressive in installing "the best driver for my device," which takes away the HID compliant device status of my kindle (which makes me confuse as to what should I do next) I tried uninstalling the kindle driver again but in that case, my PC won't read my kindle anymore. lol

But I did link in to a folder where Kindle Fastboot .inf is located. I even created a folder with only the .inf file in it (since at first I thought maybe the linux.inf being in the same folder is what causes the problem)

This is what happens whenever I directed my PC to where the .inf file is... EDIT: oh, and I turned off the internet this time to force my PC to use this driver instead Last edited by ryuji35; 08-19-2012 at 02:11 PM. |

Try to re-create the driver. IIRC, it's the inf-wizard somewhere inside the libusb bin folder in this package: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho....php?p=2148818

If it still doesn't work, throw your computer out of the window and curse Windows for not providing meaningful error messages. |
