It gets down to 1/4 battery after about 1 1/2-2 weeks. I get the 'charge soon' message between 2-3 weeks. Mind you, I read on average 3 hours total. A lot of turning it on from sleep mode because I start and stop often. I'd say the battery is fine on my Kindle. I just wanted to know if I should wait until I get the 'charge soon' message or if I'm ok to charge it before that happens. Obviously now I know I shouldn't leave it on the charger overnight .

And by "regularly" I meant that almost every time I charge it I leave it on the charger over night.

The "overnight" is probably fine. It will stop charging when the LED turns green (other than a minor trickle charge). Just do not charge it too often.

I think this is the correct battery:

I bought an iPod battery from them a few years back. No problems with the battery, or the vendor.

I charged my Kindle for about 24 hours on a wall charger.

PC is just not picking up the Kindle. So even with the noob guide, I can't get past point 4. I hear a lot of 'device pick up' and 'device dropped' (kwim?) noises when I do the 'hold power button for 30 sec's, then vol - button for 1 second' bit.

But pc does not pick up kindle. (Have tried 2 different cables, also 2 different pc's). (Kindle does however have the little orange light on when it's plugged in?)

Can it still be the battery? Or might it be that the hardware is buggered completely?

Ever since the PSP Pandora hack, less devices have replaceable batteries.
