i just found something for someone who don't have credit card and from Australia.
It called Prepaid credit card, issued by ANZ http://www.prepaidshop.com.au.
Basically, you use it like a normal credit card but with ur prepaid amount.
So its totally limited.

Over a week since placement of order, status still says on backorder. So no reader yet.

The blue one is still in stock at BHphoto. They shipped mine a day after I placed my order.

How does the aesthetics of dark blue look like. Does it look pleasing to the eye and does it look like a "book"?

Not sure if I'd say it looks like a book, but neither would I say that about the Silver... Have you seen this thread?

Just returned from holiday where I used my recently purchased blue PRS-505 for the first time and I must report I found it fantastic in every way.

On the plane, in bed, on the couch, on the sun lounger in bright sunlight, it was always easy and clear to read and the battery was still half full after a week and 3 ebooks.

I know there have been some complaints that the blue looks purple in certain lights but it is more of a tinge than out and out purple.

I think the blue looks classy and a change from the shiny silver gadget colour.

I think this is the most useful gadget I have ever purchased and leaves me lots of room in my hand luggage now I do not have to take 3 or 4 books with me.

I purchased my blue PRS-505 from Adorama Camera in New York for $279. Ordered on 1/4 and had it in my hands 1/10.

I posted up this info on another thread, but you can get it at buy.com (they only have blue) for $271.99 and free shipping. There is a $10 coupon too, you can use google checkout or a buy.com coupon.

Stock might be catching up, but when I bought mine this week, it was tough to find. Most places still list it as "out of stock".

Even odder, there are two PRS505 units listed at Amazon. One sells for $400, the other sells for $300.

(Got mine from J&R out of New York for around $275 or so, closer to $300 including shipping and tax.)
