Hi,
Could Karen rename (and modify appropriately) all those .html files to .xhtml and get rid of the media-type="application/xhtml+xml" text? Also, really don't yet see a reason to keep the text split in that many files, like AlexBell. -- regards, -- recook |

Also some readers or apps only do page breaks (new page) at the start of a file.
It may also speed up many apps & readers. |

This discussion brings back memories of seeing this post 10 years back and wondering about an ebook with ~3000 html files and ~300 images. Seeing the people who responded, I didn't. OTOH, JSWolf was the first response to the OP way back in 2012.

The OP last posted in this thread back in 2012. The OP last posted anywhere on MR back in 2020. The person who posted today (the person you replied to) was not the OP. So, the OP last posted on this thread 10 years ago. And Calibre and Sigil still don't use QuickTime. jmurphy |

Sorry, my mistake. I didn't realize that the new post was a reply to a really old post.

![]() Oh no... Wolfie will never live that one down, will he!! ![]() I was just wondering about Jon's response (from 2012) saying the file size required that many html files. I couldn't see where the filesize was listed in the opf??? With ~3000 files I would assume Karen had a file for each paragraph.... and probably used a different image of "* * *" for each section break... ![]() |
