I have gotten only a few pages into the series, I am on chapter 2 of book one, and I have already seen the influences of David Weber in the series. One of the scenes involves a space battle with a group of terran war ships which are described as destroyers and superdreadnoughts, there is the influence, sounds like a few scenes from David Weber's signature Honor Harringtion series. Oh, and thanks again I did not know that exodus was out there at the fifth imperium. Now I can get a way with a $0 bill to Baen.

A very good series.
I personally like Crusade the best. Does anyone remember or played the Starfire board game series at all? I still have the original boxed copy from the 70's |

GREAT series! I just finished Extremis. The Arduans(sp?) weren't my favorite aliens but overall a good book. Just not as good as the books covering the Bug War.
Enjoy! |

Here is another question about the books: I thought that Seve White wrote the series with the help of David Weber, however the listing that I have over at fictfact lists the authors as only David Weber. Perhaps Steve White joined in the series towards the end? What am I missing here? However if the books were actually written by David Weber that would explain a few things, it would explain why the books sound like a honor harringtion novels, I am always expecting Admiral Harringtion to walk into the middle of the scene all the time.

Are they David Weber with Steve White (until Weber stopped) or are they Steve White with David Weber?

Insurrection, Crusade, In Death Ground and Shiva Option are all listed as only David Weber while Shiva Option is Shirley Meier and Steve White; and In Extremis are David Gannon and Steve White. I thought that they were all Steve White according to Fict Fact I am misinformed.
Hmm, I looked at Wikipedia, fict fact and now fantastic fiction and all three seem to be putting the books in a different order the JS Wolf is putting them in. I seem to be putting a lot of books on my to be read stack these days and not getting much off the stack lately. I would imagine that this series will take me until around September or October to read through then I ill start on some of the other series that I got in the bundles that I have. The first four books were co-written by David Weber and Steve White.

I am seeing some overlap between the starfire and Honnor Harringtion series as well as a heavy David Weber influence in the starfire series. Twice now the thebians have taked about the Manticore system. I guess the only thing that remains to be done is to get the queen of manticore to put in an appearance with the terans or the thebians.
