I would just find out that my reading level is somewhere between dyslexic and illiterate, quite depressing. I might even stop reading, so no thanks.

I'd be interested in glancing at my own stats once or twice, but if they're being recorded then someone else is also keeping track of them, and selling them to other people. No way am I knowingly participating in that.

Hmm, no. I will know myself when I started it. I know, for instance, that the book I'm currently reading, I started in January. And it'll probably be another few months I'll have finished it, due to my habit of putting it down and picking up another book to read at the same time.

That's the same as your first point.

[*]How long do most people take to read this book?
[*]What percentage of readers carried on reading beyond this point?
[*]When is the good bit (where other readers couldn't put the book down) coming?

Who cares what others do. Don't you read because you like to read? Or do you only read to show off against others?

[*]How much longer will it take me to reach the end of the chapter/the end of the book?
Why is this even relevant? Most readers can show you the amount of pages (or percentage of the book) left. And chapters aren't a fixed length.
