Let me recommend a couple of classic New Wave collections: Dangerous Visions and Again, Dangerous Visions edited by Harlan Ellision. These are excellent collections cutting edge Science Fiction from the late 60s and early 70s. They are available from Fictionwise in multiple formats - use the coupon code 062212 to get a 50% discount (good until Thursday, 6/28/12).

I also love the free online fiction available at Fantastic Metropolis. This is a really nice showcase of the New Weird and other recent avant garde science fiction/fantasy/horror movements which I love, but is not so great if hard science fiction is your thing.
