SO is Special Offers. The Ad-supported versions that cost less in exchange for viewing the ads. On the K4, that is the $79.99USD version.

You need to ask such questions in the Developer's Corner forum, where the people who wrote these hacks hang out. EDIT: This thread was in the parent "Amazon Kindle" forum. Now moved to the Dev Corner forum...

Also, there have been warnings in some threads in this forum to move tech discussions to the dev forum...
