I do update to every new version. But I keep some of the older versions around in case something in the new version breaks something for me. Then I can go back if the need ever arises.

This is what I do...there seems to be a release every now and again that seems to cause a bunch of new problems or one big problem. So I've gotten to the point where, if I'm interested in the changelog, I still wait a few days to see if there are posts about new problems.
