Gatordeb. The Buymedge case doesn't really need to be modified at all.. I bought the executive case for 30 bucks or so and the 500 fit in it perfectly! I used it for months in the unmodifed case and loved it. Its just that, in oblique light conditions the case (since it fits on the reader like a glove and hugs the screen so tightly, protecting it so well) casts a tiny shadow on the top line of text. (But that was only when I took it into my Sauna to read it because the light on my Sauna wall shines down from high on the front wall and at that angle ONLY it became slightly irritating.

My modification was extremely light. All I did was sort of gnaw off a couple of millimeters of material on the top edge with the griding tool on my Dremel, then used Duct tape more because I'm a redneck than becasue it needed it. You will be happy with the Medge case unmodified. (I assume it fits the 505? is the 505 the same size as the 500? I dont know...)

In any case my "Modification" is not necessary and quite frankly, if you saw it, you prolly wouldn't want it.

Its fairly ugly....

Oh, btw, my Son is using my spare reader quite a bit so the battery is being used regularly.

I treat my screen like I do my eye-glasses. First I lightly wipe off the dust or large particles. Then I will either use a lightly water-moistened cloth wipe the prints or marks pressing again lightly. Then I dry it off with a dry edge of the cloth. Occassionally I will use eye-glass cleaner on it in light amounts.

Always press lightly and you will not have to worry about scratching the screen and if you can, try to avoid touching it as much as possible and it will stay cleaner longer.

I do this with all my screens: laptop, computer, camera, Phone, mp3 player, and reader. This method has never failed me.
