Friendly reminder to double check first with Amazon and Kobo. A few I've looked at have been less expensive elsewhere. Embedded as was mentioned is $2.20 on Amazon.

Well, the Weightless Books people just got $95 from me today for assorted stuff that I can't get at all in Canada from the major stores, or can't find cheaper anywhere because it's non-regular-discountable, or that just isn't DRM-free when there's a near-price-match.

I've never read either Lightspeed or Fantasy Magazine, outside of stories that made the Hugo Packet, but I figure at a 1/2 price discount bundle of both magazines, plus two extra anthologies for just $14.99, it's worth a try to support new sf/fantasy.

And I picked up a bunch of old favourites and some promising other stuff from authors I've been meaning to try.

Total spent on DRMFREE day at both stores, $108 CAD or so after conversion. Hope they do it again sometime.

I've read almost all the Angry Robot books (barring the newest batch). Won't go wrong here if you like SFF and the odd horror book.

Well, looks like I spent to much time browsing at Weightless as the code doesn't appear to be working anymore.

Just Lightspeed these days. The magazines have been combined into a single issue. I've been a subscriber for about 6 months and it's a good magazine with short stories, non-fiction and author interviews. I don't thing you'll be disappointed.

Hopefully they got a good enough response that they'll consider doing another such deep-discount coupon deal in the near future. I always assume that US-based offers will expire at 12 PM EST and plan my shopping accordingly, even if I end up skipping some marginal maybe-I'd-like-to-try-this stuff I'm waffling over the samples for.

Good to hear, although I'd have considered it a worthwhile deal for the extra bonus theme anthologies which were part of the subscriber drive offer, which look to have good quality reprints in them (including one of Lois McMaster Bujold's shorts, which I've all got but which shows taste on the part of the editor), and would have cost ~ $6 to buy at Fictionwise during their coupon sales.

ETA: As it turns out, they do offer a MultiFormat bundle where available once you have things on your My Library page. They just don't really advertise it and make you think you can only select one format when ordering.
