It is yes but I don't know and won't pretend to know the technical aspects of data wires and what not. I know I've tried the Sony USB cables through my Apple charger and my AC plug with a USB port and they didn't work. I know that the Amazon charger which is, on the outside anyways, the same thing as the Apple charger, and it works. *shrugs*

I dunno I use my white ipad and iphone charger on my prs-350 ..just remove the ipod dock cable and put in the usb to micro usb cable.. it works fine!

Or I grab my old blackberry charger it has the microusb connector..
no problems either

YMMV i guess.
