If I need my fix, I'll buy used DTB. Otherwise...I have over 186 books in my TBR Owned list...and those are only the ones I've catloged. The rest (multiple freebies across multiple book stores and older DTBs I haven't cataloged yet) just don't count right now. At this point, any book purchase I make is purely for wants and not for needs. |

I stopped buying anything from the Conspirators as soon as the fix was in; print and ebook. I've survived just fine. So I can wait for the settlement. After that I'll wait and see if anything they put out is worth giving money to them. They may never get any money from me again. |

I have been using the library almost exclusively. Since the Big 6 stopped selling ebooks to libraries, I have been requesting pbooks. The waiting list for those is actually shorter! I requested Calico Joe on Saturday, and I just got notice it was at the library!

The price isn't an issue for me. They could price their books at $0.01 and they wouldn't get that penny from me. The BPH have to wake up and completely restructure to figure out how they can provide true value to the customers and true service to the authors. That isn't going to happen under their current buffoon leadership who thinks the money is just going to keep rolling in no matter what they do. I'll continue to spend my money elsewhere.

Bottom line is that I have a very full plate and can easily avoid the Big 6 permanently, if need be.

I don't usually mind paying $10 to $15 on an ebook for the most part, but I sure won't complain if it means that I can use my beloved Kobo Discount Codes on more titles!

If I can get an ebook for about 25% off "cover" price and it's one I want to read, I'll buy it. That's the same price I'd expect to pay for a print book (assuming it's available somewhere on sale). If it's an ebook with an even lower price, I'll happily buy it. If the Big 6 hadn't locked their Agency prices into the "cover" price, I probably never would have cared about the price that the price was fixed and couldn't be discounted. |

I've been mostly avoiding the 4 publishers who refuse to sell to libraries, that's not going to change. As for the other two, Random House isn't part of this suit so there's nothing to wait for there. I mostly buy from HarperCollins when they do promotional sales and I don't expect the settlement to reduce prices of their regularly priced books to my preferred price range. So no, I'm not waiting for anything.

I have pirated more Agency 6 e-books than I can read in a lifetime.

A word to the wise, friend. You won't win any friends around here by pirating books.

Not waiting, in fact I just bought several books. Anything priced $10 or under is fair to me, and that is something like 98% of my purchases.
