I would like:

- a 3g option (like the 950... I seem to be one of the few who cares... but I travel a lot and need it for magazines, newspapers)

- auto-delivery of subscriptions (just like the 950)

- sync of notes/page read like the 950

- stylus holder (like the 950)

- models with different screen sizes.

The more I think about it... I want them to start selling the 950 again!
Truly, a 950 with font options, pinch-zoom, the faster processor of the T1 would be my dream reader. I'd pay, dearly and gladly.

I'd like an analog progress bar as the default rather than X / Y display we now have. I know you can tap it to get the slider thingy, but it'd be better for seeing at a glance.

Higher resolution E-ink screen is high on my list. The screen on on the 350 actually made a large difference in quality. (since it has higher dpi, and obviously renders fonts better.). It would be nice to see this tech deployed in a larger screen.

I'm not a fan of flex lighting. Especially since it would have to run off of the reader's battery. The light cover Sony sells is quite nice.

A 1024x768 6" screen and a 1600x1200 9.7" screen but without a Triton color layer (blah!).

ability to set each browser bookmark as an icon on the home screen

page navi buttons on the sides (the actual side, not on the front frame) so I can read 1-handed a little easier. Maybe add an option to that for turning the buttons off/on

Other than that, I like it just the way it is

I agree. I'd love to have the 5 inch screen offered again. Personally, I'd also love an 8 (or higher) inch screen offered as well. I loved the size and shape of the iRex DR800, and had aways wished that Sony offered something in that size or larger.

Yes, I just switched to reading from my T1 to my 350 today, and the difference in screen quality is really apparent.

I loved the feel of the older, metal bezels in Sony products, but I have to say that I'm don't mind the plastic bezel of the T1 at all, and I really appreciate how light the T1 is and how great it feel in the hand, especially without a cover. I hope that the next model is as pleasant to hold as the T1 is.

I forgot to mention that when searching for books by date, title or what have you I miss the option to hit a letter of the alphabet and jump to that page.

That is what I really miss, and it's a useful option that exists on my 350 so I have no idea why they didn't include it on the T1.

I've been thinking that would be a very useful feature myself even before reading it here it's kind of what I meant by more book sorting options, I didn't know the earlier Sony readers already had it.

Really makes no sense Sony would remove it, I'd like to see it added to a T1 firmware never mind a T2.

1- A tad more rigidity in the case - they went from metal to the flexiest case on the generation of ebook readers
2- Ship the thing unlocked (no rooting need to add Android apps)
3- More app install space

Since there are currently no shipping products which use the FLEx technology, its effectiveness and power consumption are unknown. Personally, I would much prefer an integrated lighting solution, but external lamps could still be used if one didn't want to drain the e-reader's internal battery.

In any event, given the fact that Amazon is apparently testing similar technology (see http://techcrunch.com/2012/04/06/nex...ont-lit-screen), its competitors may have do something similar just to stay in the race.

Are you aware that if you tap the bit at the bottom of the screen where it says "Page x of y" it brings up a slider? You can then quickly scrub through authors, titles, dates etc. Not quite the same as A-Z tabs but still quite useful.

Thanks for the tip, I had no idea that I could do that!

I'd like to see them improve the finish on the casing to have a more rubberised feel like the Kobo Touch and they need to move the 2 outer most buttons away from the corners so that its easier to hold the reader at the bottom corners. The Kobo Touch is really comfortable to hold compared to the T1....
