It tends to be a problem with back titles, and it's certainly a problem with getting control back when they can't be bothered releasing a back title. Or that's been my perception. I'd be happy to hear from authors who say it isn't a problem, and I'd definitely be glad to have the early works from Cherryh available.

Cyteen is not a trilogy. It was originally split into three for commercial reasons, but the single volume is the preferred format. (Although, okay, I read the three separate volumes. Presumably imports, because I don't think it was ever published that way in the UK.)

Many thanks for the recommendations. I believe I will start with "The Pride of Chanur" and "Cyteen", although it looks like these will have to be p-book, as they don't seem to be available in ebook.

Sorry if the thread is a bit dated, but I noticed that the first three books in the Chanur series are finally being published as ebooks by DAW. I can't find any reference to the ebooks on Penguin's website, but Diesel have them listed for sale: The Pride of Chanur, Chanur's Venture, The Kif Strike Back.

Just as a note, Roberson's Sword-Dancer series was released as ebooks a couple of months ago (except one).

Well it looks like there is progress there too
![]() Edit: Actually these ebooks are on the Penguin site if you know the ISBN, they just don't seem to show up in an author search: Invader, Inheritor. Last edited by GeoffR; 12-10-2013 at 01:03 AM. Reason: Found ebooks on Penguin site |

Also, one thing I noticed is that they aren't WhisperSync for Voice enabled yet. That's disappointing, since I like to be able to go back and forth between the Audible book and the eBook. And most of the later ones are enabled for it, and the reader, Daniel Thomas May, is quite good. |

For those wanting to read through the series and not wanting to buy pBooks, I'd suggest the Audible versions of the missing books. The reader, Daniel Thomas May, is quite good, and I find the audiobooks at least as compelling as the ebook. |
