Hi,

I convert cbr to Pdf using the Java based JE-comics converter tool that I downloaded from this forum. This is a very good tool to convert cbr or even jpg files to pdf. It can resize the page to iLiad size and the results are remarkable.

I personally was very impressed with the output so much so that I converted the book scans in jpg format that I had to pdf using this tool and the results so far are very effective.

I certainly would recommend trying it, even if you cant get your hand on an iLiad simply download the tool convert the cbr to iLiad sized pdf and see it on the screen or maybe printout a page or two to seen the output....
