Lately I wonder if I'm the only person with Siri success.

I frequently dictate long emails and texts, with full punctuation, I set my alarm with it every day, text completely hands and eyes free, perform google searches, set timers, set time reminders, set location based reminders, call businesses not in my contact list, check my calendar, initiate handsfree calls, ask the time/date, control my music, etc, etc

Sure, I wish "she" could do more, like "turn on/off wifi/Bluetooth", initiate calls defaulted to speakerphone, "call mom on speakerphone", etc, but even what it does is darn useful, and I use it daily.

I like Siri also. It is very buggy, but I find that for the things I use it for, it works fine.

I wish Apple would put more work into it. According to the latest release notes, there were no changes for Siri? And it is still in Beta?

The sensible thing to do would be to stop companies taking so many liberties with their advertising. Painting a product in a good light and misleading people about it's performance are quite different things (though I'm sure their lawyers would argue differently). Stop letting them blur the lines so much, then we can just laugh any cases like this one out of court.

Anyone who has tried voice recognition products knows that there will be issues and that we are a long away from Star Trek. Hopefully, we'll get there before the 23rd century. ( in the meantime, my iPhone is a good first approximation of Spock's tricorder).

Voice recognition is tough. It just is. My guess is that Siri 1.0 will come out with iOS 6.0 in the fall. Even that's not a sure bet. VR is TOUGH!

I'm fine with the VR. It's other bugs (that I don't think are VR related) that I'd wish they put more effort into fixing.
