Hope so, I'm half way through the BluRays now and its rekindled my interest in reading the books which given I don't buy non-reference books in paper form now makes this possibly the first time I've been eager for an eBook release

They have, I believe, already said that they're going to use "social DRM" - ie, watermarking.

For me the big questions is: how entwined with the rest of Pottermore will the ebook store be? I'm not really interested in signing up for the whole Pottermore experience as it were, I just want to buy legit copies of the ebooks.

Beta tester here. At the moment, the only way to access the store link (which is still locked) is if you have a Pottermore account. I'm fairly certain that once the store goes live, even if you're required to have a Pottermore account to buy the books, you won't have to actually do any of the activities to gain access to the store. They know there are some people who will be buying the ebooks as their first set of Potter books, and you really need to have read the books already (or be reading them as you play) to get anything out of the Pottermore activities.

Thanks for the info. I'll sign up if I have to, but I won't do anything other than purchase the books.
