Well, I recovered the image and ran factory reset. But it still stuck at boot screen. Any possible reasons?

Or who could give me a detailed instruction about how to unbrick it?
I think that firmware 5.0.0 and 5.0.3 should use different images, or it will stuck. Is there anyone who can successfully unbrick your kindle with that 5.0.0 image? Could anyone please provide me a 5.0.3 image? Last edited by wsxhwyy; 02-29-2012 at 07:09 AM. |

Try to delete all content from /var/local/ Don't worry, Kindle will recover needed files from this directory automatically after next boot. So try this, but I can't say, that is exactly your problem, there might be plenty of possible reasons, why Kindle is stuck. |

When I rebooted I found that my script is not running. I started usb storage mode in diags, I found that data.tar.gz was not deleted.

If you followed once instructions in this post:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...4&postcount=38 you should be able to connect to usbnet from diags without any data.tar.gz or RUNME.sh You just need to put ENABLE_DIAGS to userstore or boot to diag over MfgTool |
