I had the misfortune of finding out about this over Christmas. I had to resort to the in-flight magazine!

Wow...those are incredible. I just gotta wonder, though, how or when one gets the idea to do something like that. One day, they suddenly say, 'You know what? I have all these books just sitting around. I think I'll make them into sculptures!' I wonder how long it took to work up the skill to carve such detail into the pages. What planning those things must take! The reader in me is appalled to see old books used like that, but the artist in me is fascinated.

I think it would have been nice if there had been ebooks when I was in school. It would not hurt as much when the Nuns hit you over the head with a dictionary.

Apparently the biggest disadvantage to an ebook reader is that you can't avoid pointless comparisons to printed books...

The biggest disadvantage is of course that you can't smell your eBooks. Personally I love to spend an evening having a good sniff at all my paper books.

The only disadvantage I've found is that I couldn't throw 'March' up against the wall.

Grrrrrr.

Yes you can. You just grab the reader, run and hope you make it in time.

Actually, that's not so. Both ADE based readers and Kindles allow you to have DRMed eBooks on more then one reader. It's easier to do this with ADE since you don't have to download your books again.

Fine. How do I move my books I bought for the Rocket to the Nook or Kobo?

Authorize the nook or Kobo to the same ADE account as the Rocket. Then all you have to do is put those books on the nook or Kobo and away you go.

Fine, show me how. The books were bought for the Rocket eReader.

If my next reader is a Kindle, how do I move my books to it?

Sorry, I was thinking the Rocket's eBooks were in ePub. Do the eBooks for the Rocket have DRM?
