While colour eInk might be good for textbooks, I don't think it's very good for plain text books.

This rumour seems to get started again with "New Sources" every few months.

If it's color e-ink, I'd like a much bigger screen--for magazines, newspapers and nonfiction (science, cookbooks, art, etc). I'd continue to read most other books on a smaller screen.

I get National Geographics delivered and when I checked it out on the Nook Tablet, I really didn't enjoy the experience at all. What was the point? All that scrolling and smaller photos.

I guess that answers my question about if I should get a Nook Tablet to read magazine PDFs.

It is far from perfect even on a 10" tablet. But 7" would be a real pain. 12" works great (I have a tablet PC), 14" would be even better.

I'd rather a 768x1024 non-color eink screen. That would be very nice at 6". I know it's been done with the iRiver Story HD, but the software for that is blah.

Yeah, i don't even care to read magazine PDF on the iPad, and it's 9.7"

Comics, though, are good, especially when designed to be read on the tablet, with panel navigation.

I don't see the point of 6" eink screen with poor saturation and contrast. If it has BETTER B&W text and color is just a bonus, I'll take it, but doesn't sound like that's the case.
