Also what happens to the calibre metadata file?

Trying to understand, as when I first found some books I had to find data through calibre and all that is saved also

LOL - I don't think there were many digital books about in the 17 century, so copying a book then was actually making a physical copy, there was no copyright infringement.

Based on such propaganda, they have procured laws in most of the world to forbid copying in most (or sometimes all) circumstances

If I give her them all, for her to sort out which she wants, will they work on her Sony reader without Calibre?
