[QUOTE=LuvReadin;1960640]Just put the required half on the stick (although personally, I'd give your friend the whole thing and then they can pick out what they want).

QUOTE]

My friend only wants maybe half my ebooks.
She may not install calibre.

Email to recipient - how? Through Calibre?
Add to memory stick - Am I adding each individual authors folder?
Even if my friend only wants maybe one book out of each one?
Also what happens to the calibre metadata file?

Trying to understand, as when I first found some books I had to find data through calibre and all that is saved also

LOL - I don't think there were many digital books about in the 17 century, so copying a book then was actually making a physical copy, there was no copyright infringement.

Quote:
Publishers often refer to copying they don't approve of as “piracy.” In this way, they imply that it is ethically equivalent to attacking ships on the high seas, kidnapping and murdering the people on them. Based on such propaganda, they have procured laws in most of the world to forbid copying in most (or sometimes all) circumstances
If you like using words, with misleading meanings, go right ahead, don't be suprised if you are misunderstood

If you like using old words, just because they have been in use a long time...

I beseech you not kind sir naught would ail me more as I canst agree with nary of you thoughts. Thee hath offended me, I durst not listen to all you have wrought .
Henceforth thou is no longer my fere, unless thou mendith thy ways as I besought thee in times past

I have a Kobo Touch reader. My friend has a Sony Reader (but not Calibre)

How do I give her a few ebooks (or the whole Calibre library if she wants) to work on her Sony reader?

If I give her them all, for her to sort out which she wants, will they work on her Sony reader without Calibre?
