I've only read nine of the ones on the list, but my favorite by far was 'Our Mutual Friend' - it doesn't usually make the Dickens 'short list', but I think that's a shame. It's a heck of a book.

A Christmas Carol is also my favorite, but I liked A Tale of Two Cities. It's great to see that so many of you have read books from the past. I'd like to see a poll about Louisa May Alcott, too.

Glad to see another reader who loves this book - it has everything! Mystery, great characters, love, obsession, great "goodies" and "baddies". I have only read it about 10 times, but I am going to read it again this week.
