It amazes me the prices these self publish books are going up to since Amazon started this program. It use be 3.99 was the highest you would see. Like this particular title when she first released this book it was 99 cents and I bought it. All her books were around 0.99 to 2.99 Now I don't have a problem pay 0.99 to 2.99 and 3.99 for a big historical for a back title but $4.99?!? C'mon for that price I expect publisher quality and most of these back titles books are horribly formatted contain OCR and grammar errors and have no working TOC.

Hanchart Land by Becky Barker is Free today! This is one of the ones of my wishlist I've bought most of hers.

When vampire cops make it as far as TV, and vampire detective shows on TV have their own Wikipedia subcategory, you know it's become de rigeur. Or maybe cliché.

Sometimes I have trouble deciding which.

Am I the only one who thinks "Little Tykes Murder Mysteries" just sounds... wrong?

I suspect it helps get them "borrows" while in the KLL, rather than "buys" at a low price - since they are making $1.70/borrow this month and likely to remain high for a while, they lose money if someone buys it, instead (esp at any price under $2.99, which drops their reimbursement to 35% instead of 70% after delivery costs).

I know I won't "waste" my one/month borrowing privilege on a 99 cent book ....
