About the same on the Dream. I'm running CM4 on my dream - dinosaur phone if you ask me, but still going.

My Magic keeps choking, and running low on memory. There are times when it gets so low on memory that the software keyboard will crash on me. I'm thinking about dropping back to CM4, but there are a couple features I really like in 6.2

Actually, it does include them. Of the nearly million installs, 417k of them are unofficial.

I tried both CM5 and CM6 on the Dream - both a no-go, there's not enough horse power under the hood for those versions. And you have to reformat the system partition to accommodate the larger OS; it is definitively showing its age.

Hmm, would have figured it would be about the same, since the Dream and Magic are so similar. Nothing really special is needed for the Magic to install 5 or 6. There is a mod I am thinking about, that using different radio firmware, frees up about 15mb of memory. I've heard it is even available now to do on CM4.

It doesn't even count a lot of straight CyanogenMod installs, if the users didn't opt-in to have their stats collected. On top of that are all the custom ROMs that are 99.972% CyanogenMod, but the ROM-maker yanked CMStats, changed the wallpaper, and slapped on the clock from MIUI.

I would be surprised if the official count covers even half of the devices running CyanogenMod variants.

Haha. I've contributed 4 devices to that total. The guys who made CM are awesome.

Also the stats only include CM6, CM7 and CM9, hinting that CM4 and CM5 do not collect stats and hence are not accounted for.

I'm running Passion(Android 4.0) on my Samsung Galaxy and even though it's in beta it is by far the best ROM I've ever used. Stable as heck, quick and smooth as butter.

I love the fact CM's founder, Steve Kondik, seems to be working for Samsung Mobile. It shows the success and desirability of CM's user experience and suggests that Samsung's cumbrous anachonisms like TouchWiz might get a welcome facelift (or be torn off the face entirely).

Original G1 preorder. Kept root on it thanks to Jesusfreke and installed every usable version including Gingerbread. Waiting for stable complete version of at least Gingerbread for my version of GSII. Hoping to eventually get CM9. Then Jelly Roll.
