I'm perhaps just in a funny mood, but not being from North America, I read the first question and that put me off!

Looks like soliciting feedback on the question prior to going live might have been helpful... for example, I'm really surprised that DRM wasn't mentioned anywhere, yet I added it more than once in the Other boxes. Also, music subscription was available in one question, but then the follow-up questions didn't acknowledge it, giving no reasonable answer for those who subscribe to music. I don't buy tracks nor albums, I subscribe to all of my music.

I completed the survey, but as has been mentioned before I found a number of questions less than ideally posed or designed. As twowheels say above, I think the survey could have benefited significantly by soliciting feedback prior to launch. The conflation of music and ebooks I think was less than ideal in terms of obfuscation of the results and also unnecessary, as the survey could easily have been a bit longer without becoming a chore for the respondents. No mention of DRM was decidedly strange and additionally I agree with the other criticisms stated earlier (although unfortunately I don't know any transgender people myself ).

Thank you all for your feedback Not including the DRM issue is my biggest regret here. Now it's too late to add it without having an influence on the results.

I agree, putting everyone over 40 into one category is odd. Gadgets tend to be purchased by younger people, but e-readers are an exception, there are a lot of older people who use e-readers. I think combining books and music into one category may mix things up too much. I don't buy music on-line, except I bought one song once, years ago. I buy CDs. But I do buy books. I would suggest keeping questions about books and music separate.

Yup, now I know it would be much better just to leave a field to enter your age. Thought this would be quicker for the respondents and did more harm than good.

As for the music and books mixing - it's not really mixed. I can easily filter those who buy music, ebooks and both, and analyse them separately.

Done. I would have given a few more options about pirate books. Some people pirate an ebook only under a given circumstance such as a legit ebook not being available or they have a paper book copy and want a ebook copy for convenience. The options were only yes, no or I don't care about it though which limits things a bit.
