Are you sure the naming of the JPEG files are still in order? Because with all the renaming you've done (particularly if they're automated), the pages might be off. Also, are you just adding the renamed JPEG files to the existing CBZ or creating a new one every time? What do you mean exactly by "most of digi-comic readers d/l issues which either CBZ or CBR"? Do you know what readers or applications they're using to read the CBZ? Also, where are they downloading from? It's possible that if you're uploading it to a service, they might still be downloading an older cached version with the screwed up naming.

Downloading both the PDF and the CBZ. One other thing I was thinking about was if the pages got misnamed. I've had stuff before, when I've accidentally put stuff out of order when naming the files. I figure I can compare the two versions

I've had issues with readers that don't renumber based on the file name; they just display in the order the files are in the archive. The solution for those readers is to add the files into the archive in the order you want them read. Some readers do reorder based on the filenames, so you have to do both.

On the people that had issues, do you know what they use to read the comic with?
I just read the comic with Comix, and every page was in order. Used Okular, same thing. Open it up with Qcomicbook, and it had page 2 as 12 (after, 1, 10, 11, 12...), 3 as 23, etc. I look at the zip structure and the order shows 1 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 2 20, etc. Basically, the same order as in Qcomic. As mentioned, some just pull file after file, in what ever order they were placed into the zip. If you rename a file in an archive, it stays in the same order. Renamed the files to include a leading zero for pages under 10. The other oddity I noticed, is that you seem to be missing a file named page_8.jpg Goes from 7 to 9. Looking at the PDF, and I see that that things are just misnamed. 9 should be 8, and so on. Renamed everything, and packing up so they get put into the zip in the proper order. Just my two cents... in using my audiobooks in mp3, I noticed some of my readers only used the first so many characters of the file name. So I always put my number scheme at the beginning (using the padded 01s) and I've had no more problems.
i.e., 01 filename title etc. 02 filename title etc. versus filename title 01 filename title 02 AJ |

well that file I sent you was renamed using the windows method after other methods were used. 01, 02, 03. 001, 002, etc etc and other variants.
they used CDisplay and CoView Quote:
