Hi, Anne. I've got exactly the same case that you've linked to for my 650. You should be aware that the leather does have some weight (and bulk) to it if you've a problem with your wrist. All of the buttons, ports, and the stylus are completely accessible; I don't remember the last time I removed it from the case (possibly to give it a thorough cleaning, but I'm just guessing).

The only niggle for me is the little strap that secures the reader: depending on your light source, it may cast a slight shadow onto the screen from above. I've minimized this by attaching the strap a bit more loosely than I could, which has had no effect at all on the snugness of the case. It bugged me a bit for the first couple of days, but it's not something I notice at all anymore.

The cover does indeed fold all the way back without doing damage---this was very important to me too. Something I've noticed (again, I've become used to this, but I was a bit disappointed initially) is that when the cover is folded, my fingers tend to rest against the plastic card-holder, rather than the leather. It's a bit of a shame, but this may just have to do with the way I hold the device.

It's a solid case that I'd buy again, at any rate. Good luck!

I just placed an order for this case because the site says it's on sale for £12.49 (about $19) but when my order was processed, the price went down to £10.41 ($15.95).

Not sure why, but I'm not complaining! I look forward to trying it.

Excellent bargain!

It does look interesting but how to keep it closed? I don't see any tab to hold it closed and I don't believe it uses magnetic like the standard cover...

And I'm afraid the stand might at a bit of weight to the whole thing. I read a lot in bed (2-5 hours at one stretch) and being a small Asian woman, after holding the reader with cover for 2+ hours, my wrist and fingers go numb.

I'll post after I get it. I use my Sony in bed as well and I usually take it out of the case I have. I really just want the case for when it's in my bag when I leave the house, and I really wanted one that flipped open like that instead of a book style one which I have, and can be awkward to hold in the left hand.

I bought the flip-top case:
which can be seen here and have found it excellent. My only niggle is the securing loop at the top which tends to cast a slight shadow in certain conditions. (It's not really essential - I often tuck it under the top edge of the case).

I find all the control buttons are perfectly accessible, likewise the card slots and the connectors on the bottom edge. No complaints whatsoever. I'm guessing, but I think the case adds perhaps 1/3 of the reader's weight - not enough to give me a problem.

I also have Tuff-Luv's case for the 505 which I think is even better because of the very strong protection in the front cover.

This is the same case I just ordered. How does it stay closed? Is it magnetic? Also does the cover flip all the way back? It looks like it does in the picture so I got it on faith.

It flips all the way back which I find is good when I'm reading away from the table. The stand works perfectly OK when I'm reading and eating at the table - biggest problem is failing to get the next course/rescue the burnt offering/discard the carbonised remains 'cos the book was too enthralling.
Case closes with a magnetic press-stud - there's a securing strap which runs from the bottom edge of the front cover, loops under the read and attaches at the back, adjacent to the stand support.
I think you'll find your faith is rewarded, and on earth, too!

I got one of these from Ebay about a year ago. I like the puffy feel to it and the cover folds back really nicely. I think the link is the seller I got it from, I did pay about the same price for it. Note that after pulling the Reader out often, it does get loose.. but not too bad.

I picked up the cover Lightwedge put out that looks like a red leatherbound book. It is listed as being for the Kindle Touch but in the fine print it is also for the Sony Touch (650), and the Kobo Touch. It keeps the 650 in it without a bit of movement and protects it so much better than my Tuff-Luv case did.

I think it is great that across the board the companies made finally made their devices almost the same size so the covers are interchangeable.

Staples carries mostly Medge and the Lightwedge Verso cases (the artist series covers look like books). OfficeMax has a similar selection. Be careful when you are reading the descriptions to see if it is designed for the Kindle Fire or the Kindle Keyboard or the Kindle Touch. In my local store things were mixed up from the displays. Several of the cases also mention other ereaders that are compatible such as the Sony Touch (PRS-650) on the packaging.

I'll second these comments. I have the "tree of life" version of the cover. My only complaint is that I don't like the feel of the materials as much as I did the 600 cover. I have no idea why - although I suspect it was just the "finish" - but I though the 600 cover felt more like leather, while the 650 cover feels more like pleather.

My cover is so snug, I really don't see the point of the little flap at the top. There's NO sliding around and it takes a comfortable level of force to push the reader in or out of the cover.

I have the standard Sony cover for the 650 (assuming it's the same one you mean?) and a Tuff-Luv case. Not sure exactly what the standard cover is made of.

My take on the standard cover is this: It's fairly tough on the front and back, and would probably protect the _screen_ better that any other book-style case I've seen (including the Tuff-Luv one), but I just don't trust the plastic clips it uses to hold the reader in place without eventually breaking. The reader is held in place by two small plastic clips which slot into the special circular holes on the readers' "spine", and while I guess they'd be OK if you put it in the case and keep it there, I can easily imagine them breaking on repeatedly taking it in and out of the case. I also don't like that it gives no protection to the sides.

It'd probably be a fine case still if you're the kind of person who wants to give some protection to their reader, but keep the reader itself fully visible (metal body and all) while using it. (I know some people like to use their reader "naked".) But I'm not that sort of person.

I trust my Tuff-Luv case more for holding the reader in place, protecting the sides (it has the faux leather all the way around), and it still gives good enough protection to the screen (good enough to protect it in a bag in normal use).

Just my opinion, of course, YMMV.

Thank you for the information. The Tuff-Luv seems to win in most people's opinion. Thanks everyone.
