The price of electronic doodads consistently goes down while the power goes up. At some point you have to look at the money in your wallet and decide, "OK, I'm going to get this thing now." It has more to do with your ability to buy shoes for the children and have money left over than it does the price of the item itself.

Will the price of Kindles go down? Absolutely! When? The week after you buy one!

I hear that. I got my Kindle 3 in mid March of this year and a few months later the price was down to what it is now.

Amazon offers a no questions asked 30 day return warranty. Considering the amount they´ve sold for X-mas I think it is safe to say that you will not see any reductions prior to Feb 1.
