Book is (or was) an art than chunks of alphabet. Kids should learn and appreciate in its true form. Or else they will soon reduce themselves to war and peace twitter edition.

I completely disagree. My 3 year old grandsons have children's ereaders and will have Kindles as soon as they are old enough, as will all my future grandchildren. It opens up a world to them that we could have never dreamed of as kids.
There is also the fact that pbooks for young children tend to be oversized whereas an ereader is more of a size that even little hands can hold onto easily. At least that's what it looks like to me. I mean which is easier to hold, a book that's almost as large as the child or one they can be sure to be able to hold in one little hand? I'd put them in a cover to protect against accidental dropping though. That's one advantage pbooks have over ereaders. They won't break if accidentally dropped.

Nonsense. I'm not even sure why you equate printed paper as the true form. It certainly isn't the original form of a written story or literature. Maybe we should go back to painting on cave walls if we really want original authenticity for our children. Or, you can chip at some stone tablets and I'll hire a couple of monks to write out some scrolls?

A paper book (a real book) in your terms. Is simply a step in the progression of mass publishing. Paper books are wonderful things, but a child who is reading on a device is still reading and learning. The stories are in no way at all "Twitter-ized" as you well know.
