For anyone without Market access who wants to try Game Dev Story, I found the "lite" version here: http://www.freewarelovers.com/androi...dev-story-lite.

UPDATE: 10 days later, I get the exact same error and looping force-close, again preventing me from getting to ANY of my library, apps, documents, journals, etc.

I was running Ermine.

Downloading Golden Dingo one more time, then calling SquareTrade. I'm done.

It's been great, y'all. See you on the flipside.

John, I am intrigued by what you are experiencing.

What was the last thing you did before the problem started again and was it the same thing as the previous time? I ask because it would be interesting to try and see if it is a hardware or software problem. If it's hardware there is little that can be done - unless it is caused by bad cells in the memory and a couple of people here have managed to get round that one - if it is software then we need to be aware that app X may stuff up your device.

I suspect that the Amazon Appstore or some app I was running might have been involved in the crash. Multiple apps started crashing shortly after I updated some on the list. After a restart, the same system processes I mentioned in my first post started into a force-close loop.

I'm going to try one more thing before I call it quits, thought it pains me to do so. I am NOT going to install ANY apps on vanilla Ermine. Just books. If it fails on me again in the near future, I'll shift my suspicion over to hardware.

I'll try to post a list of the apps I had installed soon.

*The only other thing I did was a temporary root to install titanium backup and delete some of the unused system apps we mentioned in another post. But I had no issues for those 10 days.*

EDIT AND UPDATE: Squaretrade is going to refund the $149.99 we paid Woot on May 4th. Ought to make a nice down payment on a Nook Tablet methinks. ^_^

So it would appear to be a badly written app that is the problem - maybe one that is looking for something the eDGe doesn't have or writing to a section of memory that is storing OS information.

If you could produce a list of the apps before you leave us it could be most helpful.

I'm glad that Squaretrade is doing the right thing but sorry to see you go.

Not going anywhere. You guys are way too much fun.

My Dad (who is awesome) who originally bought my PE as a birthday present dashed out to Barnes & Noble and picked me up a shiny new Nook Tablet. So I've been happily sideloading Amazon apps all morning long (and I FINALLY get to try out Peggle and Plants vs. Zombies!)

List of apps coming soon. Tonight maybe?

nook tablet was rooted with market. i think you can get cm7 and soon 9. i do have a refurb 120 USD nook colour fully rooted and an nook touch fully rooted with market.
they are less than a pe, but no integration, hope a software that can do integration via wifi between 2 android tablets will make this cool.
