I didn't count the books I read last year, but I'd say my reading has gone up a LOT this year - or rather since getting my Kindle over a year ago. (I did have a Sony 505 before then, and had really started to get into the whole e-reading experience, but then the UK shops stopped selling ebooks internationally and for a few months I had trouble finding shops that would sell me anything.)

I'm at well over 100 books this year so far; last year it was perhaps a few dozen. I pretty much stopped reading books some years ago as I ran out of physical space at home for new books, so for several years practically all my leisure reading was fanfic.

Right around the same as it has been for the last 35 years or so. Always reading a book... always starting another as soon as I finish one.

I usually read anywhere from 150 to 200 books a year. Having an ereader has made getting library books so much easier but I think I read about the same amount.

I didn't count books read until this year. But, I'd say that, with the purchase of an iPad (and now an iPhone), my reading has gone done dramatically. I just have other things to do than read.

Not that this is a bad thing, mind you. I still read when I wish (and love the fact that my e-reader is so portable and I have so many books ready to go).

All in all, it's been a good year.

According to GoodReads, I've read 42 books in 2010 and 55 so far in 2011.

I actually read less this year, but I also started a blog and post something on a near-daily basis, so that cut into my time a bit.

Slightly less than last year. 2010 was my first year with an ereader and my reading numbers shot up! But, I was also on maternity leave for almost the full year. This year, I am working and dealing with a toddler instead of a nursing newborn. That tends to give me less time to read!

I voted in the poll, but the option I chose wasn't really correct. None of them are actually correct.

We have about the same and then we have much more. I fall in between that. So we really do need that in between option.

Then there is the much less and about the same. There should be an option in between there too.

I think given all the polls that leave out options, we should have a thread about the poll to hash out the options before the poll are put up.

I have read slightly more than last year, which was around 95-100 books. I have just passed 110 and will probably get to 120. Although I haven't closely tracked the books I have read in past years it has been near 100 every year. I would like to read about 150 next year.

Slightly more for me, mid 50s in 2010 whereas this year I should end up in the mid 60s.

Had there been an option for it, I would have chosen "slightly more in 2011 than 2010." 41 last year, halfway through #51 this year.

A fair few more for me than last year, but thats because my eReader arrived in May last year.
Prior to its arrival I wasnt reading that much, just a chapter (or 2) each night before sleep, probably getting thru 1-2 books per month.
My eReader has enabled me to take my 'book' with me everywhere, and its amazing how many opportunities I have each day to chew thru a few extra pages, Im getting thru 2-3 books a week now.

Definitely less this year, but we had a huge project this year (and all new managers, which means I also had to train my boss on what we do)...kind of took up all most of my mental energy.
