Also, not that we promote piracy here, but why would someone be stupid enough to upload a DRM'd eBook to a torrent anyway? One would think that deDRM'ing the ebook first would have been a no-brainer.

Why are we assuming the books are from a torrent? Lots of independent book stores, not to mention public libraries, provide eBooks in Kindle format. And libraries, at least, most definitely use DRM on theirs.

Oh, I didn't know it was from a torrent. I missed that part.

In that case Calibre and it's plug-ins are not going to help because you have to know the account information (serial number, ade account etc) of the DRM in order to remove the DRM.

In other words, its pretty easy to remove DRM from books you've bought yourself, I don't know a way to remove DRM from some stranger's books.
