Ok i was bit by sleep of death since last update in November. Was intermitant before that. Anyways installed lookout to see if that helped.

No go here. Did not help. But thanks for pointing out what looks like a good antivirus for android. I hope the next update addresses this issue.

I find having a music app up and running, even paused can keep it from dying in its sleep too.

I suggest this: ...uninstall all your apps/custom downloads. Then install the app mentioned. Start installing all your other apps, and you will see Outlook parse them...and report either clean or that there is a problem. After you have done that...see if you have the sleep-of-death licked.

Outlook was the first thing I went for, before adding anything else. That might have some bearing in my not suffering this bug.

I didn't have the sleep of death since installing JuiceDefender, although I had it before - I wrote a longer review here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=159454
Might try the AutoSync - Ping option.

If should be noted the ping mode prevents non-Google apps from auto syncing in the background. This means Zinio, rdio, Inq, whatever.

May try it later.

Edit: just installed it, turned on Airplane Mode. It woke from sleep a few minutes after I set it up as hieronumos did above (after a factory reset), and while it didn't freeze immediately upon unlocking, it froze while I went into Juice Defender. Again.
