There should be plenty in this board but I don't suggest mentioning Stanza in your lecture. The app was updated for iOS 5 compatibility (which, incidentally, breaks iOS 4 compatibility) but Amazon has already made a statement that it's the last update it will be getting. Stanza's a great e-reading app but it might be better to introduce them to ereader apps that are likely to be updated (alas, I've yet to actually find one that's as good as Stanza).

Thanks to all of you for your help on e-books and working with them. This subject will be better thanks to your help. You're right about the course; it consists of four sessions at $5.00 per session, so won't be a big money maker. Thanks again!

Being a computer literate senior, I would suggest a few things, some of which are general.
  1. Divide your class (if there are enough people) by computer literacy
  2. Be sure to explain Digital Rights Management (DRM) so they are aware of the restrictions & limitations that DRM causes
  3. Point out that there are places where they can get DRM-free ebooks, e.g. here at MobileRead, Baen.com
  4. And last but very important, point them to this site.

And another thing, be sure to point that most ebook reading software allows you to increase the font size. This is an important feature for seniors.
