Consider you lucky. Alot of people have had issues with Kobo but it seems to be getting worse lately.

I've been shopping there for two years now. I have bought a ton of books and most I have had no problems with and the ones I did Kobo took care of within the next day. So I am hoping I hear something soon. I can say with their support in the past I had to jump through hoops to get to Level 2 support.

It's sad to read of folks having billing issues. I buy about a book a week at Kobo and have yet to have experienced a problem. I buy myself a gift card every couple of months, with Paypal or a credit card, and let the purchases reduce the balance.

I read most of the titles as kepubs (native Kobo format) reserving the epubs for backup. I still have not run into something I would call "horrible formatting" from any commercial title, although Penguin's Rumpole Omnibus Vol 1 was riddled with typos (obviously, not Kobo's doing).

There are formatting differences between Kobo's Android app, the Kobo Touch with an ePub and the Kobo Touch with a kepub title. I read mystery fiction, for the most part, so it's pretty tough to mess up the formatting as it's all just paragraphed text.

Just want to update: I've been trying every few hours since I posted earlier to get my book to download and even though I have heard nothing from Kobo Support this morning when I tried again to download my book It worked!

So I am happy I got my book and once again Kobo support has come through even if they didn't reply to my request, it has been fixed finally.

Oh, me too! I've been using the Kobo store for a year now and when the "library" recently switched over to NOT showing the prices, it was really rather annoying, as I generally do a price comparison between Kobo, Amazon and BooksOnBoard before buying a book.

Then again, Kobo store prices are all over the place for me anyway - I often see one price on the search page / new releases page and then a different one once I click on a title and go to the book's page. And of course that's not the final price either anyway, as I only see the final price (with my VAT added) on the purchase page.

I've just been buying from Kobo when there are good coupons these days - most of the time, BooksOnBoard is cheaper.

I did like those current 25%, 30% and 35% off coupons - I think I bought about eleven books over three days. Ran into an error once (card was charged but I didn't get the book), complained to help, received no reply but found the next day that the cost of that book had been added to my account as store credit, so I didn't actually lose any money.

Well now, this is odd. I've been using the Kobo discounts to gradually buy the old Cherry Ames series in e-book form. Bought one last night with the code. Went to buy another one this morning--and the books are gone from the store!

I still have them listed in my library at Kobo, and I can redownload them, but otherwise, poof! no Cherry Ames!

I just bought two more books with coupon. No problems. Everything went through perfectly! I've always had good success with Kobo Support when something goes wrong so I guess they get to keep me as a customer for now.
