I used CNN.com for both tests.

Try Dolphin Mini. I have no problems streaming video from CNN.

Do you use Dolphin mini instead of Dolphin HD?

I use Dolphin Mini on the Fire mainly because it is light on resources, fast, and has a lot of built in options.

However, Dolphin HD is equally nice and I use it on one of my other tablets because the Webzine feature allows me to get hundreds of magazine and web articles from sites of my choice ad free (CNN, National Geographic, WSJ, Reuters, TIME, ESPN and on and on and on). It also has some nice add-ons.

Both are equally good browsers in their own way. Both play CNN videos no problem.
