Is the SD card formatted as FAT or FAT32? There are some real restrictions on how many files can be in the root of a FAT formatted drive.

The easy work around if it IS FAT is to make a directory in the root of it, and place the ePubs in it.

The WiFi should still be able to find them.

Could it be a Windows Vista problem?
I don't know how to work around it.
Hunibel and Peter, I tried my daughter-in-law's SD card with her books on it and it worked fine with my Touch. I noticed that she just had one format for each book so I deleted the files on my card and went back to Calibre and downloaded just the ePub versions. For some reason, Calibre included jpegs for each one too which showed up as what looked like second copies of each book in my library but, after deleting the jpegs from the SD card, my library now looks quite appealing.
