Thanks, that saves me the bother. I was hesitant to call them anyway because I've had to contact them several times in the past two weeks about different issues--I feel like they'll flag me as a pest!

You can bypass the credit balance on your account for non-digital items, as long as you go through the regular checkout process and don't use one-click buying. When you get to your cart, just click to change the payment type, and uncheck the box to use your credit balance. I don't use 1-click buying and that trick is not always available. I've tried it on several occasions with CS reps on the phone assisting, but to no avail.
