That comparison seems to indicate that the video controls (brightness, contrast, color) on the Fire need adjusting.

That's just my 2 cents.

Interesting. Looking at still shots of movies it looked like the Nook screen was better, but in this side by side comparison it looks like the Fire's screen is superior.

One commenter said that the web browsing on the Fire sped up considerably after a few days. This seems to confirm what people were saying about the Silk browser, the more users it has, the faster it loads.

I don't think the new Nook Color (2?) or the Fire are as good as a regular tablet like the Lenovo or the HTC Flyer or several more for at or near the same prices.

I have the Prime myself but I don't stream movies except to my computer with a big screen. I am thinking about doing the Hulu thing.

I get all the Amazon stuff on my keyboard Kindle.

By the way yesterday I was selling Kindles at Walmart to a nice old couple with the lady in a wheel chair. A young kid was busy loading up the glassed in shelves with Kindles (including the Fire) and at least one Touch Nook.

I walked by and they were wondering about this and that, and I just had to chime in until the young kid brought out a Fire to demo and then I left.
