Hey guys, I'm having the same trouble as Jeff.
I've installed the .apk, but when I go MENU->Wallpapers there is no LiveWallpaper option!
All the codes were put in correctly- but its just not working.
I have GoldenAllmine installed; is this whats causing the problem?
Thanks in advance,
Sorrow.

If the LiveWallpapersPicker.apk is in your /system/app/ folder and you do not have the option to pick live wall papers, then the apk is not compatible and you need to find another. I have attached the one that worked for me. Also, I did the entire process using ES File explorer, including setting the permissions. The results were instant (No need to reboot.) For some reason I had to try several before I found the one that worked.

"Day of Ubuntu" is my favorite live wallpaper.

NOTE: the one that worked for me is 35.4 KB, not 35.9 KB (unzipped).
Attached Files
File Type: zip LiveWallpapersPicker.zip (24.1 KB, 201 views)

Sorrow,

I found that even though it was never mentioned anywhere in this thread that I needed LiveWallpapers.apk also... Put in the same folder with same settings as LiveWallpapersPicker.apk.

Oddly, I didn't need LiveWallpapers.apk.

Hey, MissleMax, thx for mentioning"Day of Ubuntu"...I like it. Unfortunately my favorite "Celtic Garden" installs on the PE, but won't "Set"...too complex I'm sure. Have you tried "ÄSCIIQuarium"? It's kind of neat for a change...abstract fishes that "expire" with a shark encouter...a sea monster too.

I have a question. When someone instructs to "unzip onto the sdcard" re they saying move the zip to the sdcard and extract or unzip on the PC and move the app/file to the sdcard? Or does it make a difference? You'd think I would know this by now, but I always pause and wonder.

Forgot the primary reason for the post...carried away w/apps!

I had long ago installed Live WallpapersPicker as a regular user app. After reading tarvoke's posts I thought maybe that was a reason "Celtic Garden" wouldn't run so I uninstalled the app noting the permissions as rwx-rwx-rwx and the fact that it had installed in the System App directory. I should add all the simple live wallpapers were working fine. I then re-installed per tarvoke's directions w/terminal.

I have to say I can't see any difference at all in the way the LiveWallpapers are performing under the new installation. Curious, eh?
