I wouldn't worry about fully charging the battery. Unlike before, a lot of modern electronic gadgets now come somewhat pre-charged, so it's not required to do a for full charge since technically it's not the first time you're charging the battery.
I'm waiting for the UPS driver now and I definitely won't be waiting for it to get charged when I get mine ![]() |

You know that only the old type of batteries, like nickel cadmium batteries, need to be fomatted? Lithium-ion and nickel metal hydride batteries don't have any "memory" and they don't need to be formatted, the only thing you should avoid is completely depleting them, it's best to charge them when they are 1/3 or 1/2 charged.

That makes sense. If I decide to buy a Touch, I'll buy the SO... and then maybe upgrade it later, if the offers bother me too much!
Thank you! So wise! So wise! |

Are we sure about this? I would get the SO as well, if I then will be able to remove ads if I want to...
But I don't see that mentioned anywhere on Amazon's site - and it makes little sense, price-wise. The kindle 3g without SO is $40, so by buying the SO and removing ads you can save $10? |
