If the iLiad was sold as a simple book reader it would need to be a bit cheaper, like $450 to $500, and then who would need or expect a search facility. The iLiad sells for a lot more than that and it purports to be more than a simple reader.

I believe it needs a search function and it is one of the few things about it that disappoint me, indeed irritate me.

I do not expect a fulltext search, because the resources on the device are limited. That does not mean, that i do not want it And i surely hope, that we will get some ways of searching inside PDF and doing a fulltext search soon.

I agree with what you say Tribble. I also do not expect nor need a full text search across hundreds of fiction books but for pdf's it is important to me.
