If i were you, i would wait for the next generation e-ink screens. There really isn't anything better than pearl screens. My primary concern would be the screen quality and it is still the same with the last generation.

My PalmTX does everything I need except download books from the library as it doesn't accept Overdrive, the library's app.
Most e-Readers are bigger than I want. The small ones have limited features. If I update to something new, I want one small device that will do it all. That I've had my PalmTX for almost ten years says a lot about my tech savvy. Once I like something I want to keep it forever!

I need that phrase search across my entire library so Nook is out for me. If I was on K2 I'd jump into K4, but I'm in K3 and don't see a reason to get it. I'm heading to Best Buy today, I'll take a look at the cheap K4 model and see the form factor, it reminds me a bit of the Sony which I've always liked. I'll see if that changes my mind but I doubt it.

I swore I was done buying e-ink until they move to color.
