PRS-T1 Loading books onto T1 - UK owner

It really sounds like you have to country on your t1 set to the US. Please double
Check and set it to the uk if necessary.

I just encountered the same problem. You need to change your location in the Sony Reader Desktop software. You go to Edit > Preferences and change the region to UK. Then when you click on the Store tab it will bring up a different window, with links to Waterstones, WHSmith etc. I went to the bottom link, registered with Sony, installed ADE (http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/), registered with ADE, then went to free ebooks (http://www.sony.co.uk/discussions/co...ng/free_ebooks), downloaded a random book to the Reader software, synced the device, and it registered my device as ADE compliant.

Not sure that'll get you all the way, but hopefully it's some help.

Thank you, thank you all. I followed the above with my Reader plugged in and it said I had to authorise my device then when I clicked on OK, it said that it recognised my device then listed all the items on my device then proceeded to let me upload the books I'd bought from Waterstones onto my PRS-T1. And I was in seventh heaven!!!

So grateful and happy. So far no problems with freezing or crashing.
